Model No. C-1651, nicknamed ‘night owl’, designed and manufactured by lighting company RAAK Amsterdam, 1960s. The lamp is intended as a wall lamp, but it can also function as a table lamp. The two circular lights can be dimmed individually.

The concept of this lamp is poetically explained in Raak catalogue No. 6 (translated from Dutch): “Raak solves a small but vital problem with this ‘wise night owl’: the lighting for spouses who do not fall asleep at the same time. Centrally above the twin beds, this night owl closes one eye on request for the one who wants to sleep. The other can read on without disturbing. Entirely in white metal, or in black with white blinkers.”

The lamp is in very good condition and branded on the inside. Rare piece.
