Green Drive table lamp by Adalberto Dal Lago & Adam Thiani for Francesconi, 1970s

Table lamp Drive designed by Adalberto Dal Lago and Adam Thiani in 1974. It was manufactured by Francesconi and features an original label on its underside.

This model is part of a series of wall and table lamps, all of which made from plastic, rubber and safety glass. The lamp on offer is the largest model in the series. The top of the lamp can be turned, the relatively heavy rubber base keeps it stable.

The condition of the lamp is very good, with only some minor wear consistent with age and use (e.g. on the base on the lamp, see picture).

Another table lamp from the same series is described in Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 229 (1974) and in ‘Space Age Lights’ by Gianluca Sgalippa on Page 115.
