Thomas Alva Edison lamp designed by Ingo Maurer for Design M.

The lamp, resembling a light bulb, was designed to celebrate the invention of Edison’s electric light bulb in 1879.

Normally it is used as a table or floor lamp, but it can as well be used as a pendant.

The glass of the diffuser is satin, the metal part is chrome coloured.  The piece is in very good vintage condition.
