A pair of Gamma wall lamps designed by Sergio Mazza for Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide in the 1960s.

The lamps are adjustable. They have two hinges, at the beginning and end of the rod, that allow the lamps to be adjusted in different ways.

Artemide produced several Gamma wall lamps; this model stands out because of the beautifully pressed glass on both sides of the reflector and the perfect ratio between the length of the rod and the size of the reflector.

The condition of the pieces is very good. Some nickel has disappeared on the wall plate of one of the two lamps.

Gamma is part of a range of lighting models named after the Greek alphabet. Other lamps from this series are amongst others ‘Delta‘, ‘Kappa’, ‘Omega’, ‘Pi’, ‘Sigma’ and ‘Tau‘.
