Elegant Alfetta table lamp designed by Sergio Mazza for Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide. The glass of the lamp is frosted internally and the structure is made from metal. The nickel top layer and the base of the lamps have some patina.

Alfetta is related to a range of lamps named after the Greek alphabet. Other lamps from this series are amongst others Delta, Gamma, Kappa, Omega, Pi and Tau.

The very similar Alfa table lamp is described in the ‘Repertoire del Design Italiano 1950-2000’ by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 84 (1960).
