Pair of Sfera pendants designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Flos. The metal base of the model has two retractable attachment points, which can -almost without contact- be inserted inside the glass shade. The globe itself is semi-opaque made irregular with bits of silica.

The rims of the lamps show some signs of usage because of the construction. The rims are not visible as they are on the top of the lamp. Hence they do not interfere with the overall beauty of the lamps.

The Sfera pendant is described in the ‘Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000’ by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 113 (1964).

In the Discover section of our website you can find an exclusive interview with Tobia Scarpa where he told us: “I used to tell myself that I have the magic touch…”, because everything he did worked out so well right from the start of his career.
